When I first saw this photo at InvitingHome it didn’t do much for me-
but then I saw this next photo, which was a close up of the pink wall and I saw the soft allover damask pattern. I wish it showed up better in the big photo, it is lovely.
More pink, from EasyLivingMagazineUK – not on walls but inside furniture cabinets. I always seem to find the loveliest furniture on UK sites -
How about this from Wallover Designs -
or this lovely wall in a room I found on Brooke Giannetti’s blog, Velvet and Linen . Love the color combination of that damask pattern, and what about that trim work?
I failed to keep notes on which Decorative Finisher’s work this is. If any fellow artist’s recognize this work, PLEASE let me know so I can give proper credit – it is a lovely wall finish!

Used in wall panels -
This is another from Decorative Finisher Susan Bickford, of Singing Walls in Nashville - from afar, you can’t really see the detail that is present (unlike the first example, I love this photo, even without realizing what else is there!)
now up close and personal! This one gets my ‘SHIT HOT’ stamp of approval. A troweled on finish, with allover stencil, using metallic plasters -
or this by Anthony Pinkston, of Ornamentum . Maybe created using tape instead of a stencil, but still a beautiful allover design. Notice the dimensional tacks, love it!
Now I bet you are ready to start creating yourself right? Here are several great stencil sites that offer a nice selection of allover patterned stencils. Be prepared to spend an average of $50-$100 for a nice size allover stencil -

WoW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These are lovely!
I love the French wardrobe with the fabulous interiors. Is it walpaper?
This great stuff and figured I would stop in and pay a visit since I havent been here so long
thanks Art! Have you been keeping busy?
French, I am not certain – my guess, paper? But one could easily finish the inside of such a piece with lovely paints and stencils…
What a great post, Patty! I was practically salivating and leering at each picture. (I know you know how that goes…) The UK sites really do have some nice images, no? Susan’s wall finish was in.cre.di.ble.
Yes, Regina, their sites often offer a different flavor of eye candy
Furniture, painted and gilded pieces…. yummy!
Can I design my own stencils with
This machine ?
Scott, I’m confused – what machine are you speaking of, a stencil burning machine?
