Caromal Colours Distressing Samples 1-20 Up Close And Personal

Lieve, an artist from North Carolina, suggested I not only show the distressed samples but also name what colors I used to create it. I told her I would put that on my list of to-blog-about’s.

This past weekend I was able to play around and create 20 more combinations.  This was the playing around stage –

I figured this is the perfect time to show and name,  as promised.   I am breaking the posts down into sample groups of 20 – this way the post doesn’t get too overloaded from photos.

It works like this:     This description  Wisteria over Parchment, light texture means –  1) brush on layer of Parchment Texture Basecoat.   Was applied leaving a little bit of texture ie) stipple/smoosh your brush around a bit.  2) when dry, brush on Chipping Creme.  3) when dry, brush on layer of Wisteria Texture Basecoat.  4) when dry, lightly sand to distress back – as light or as heavy as you choose   5) brush on Toner and wipe off.

  1. Hey Patty…..
havent visited in awhile and wanted to say your blog is great!!!

Funny……..some gross “sounding” combinations……..pumpkin peppercorn (which is LOVELY) and mustard chocolate (hehe, gross but pretty).
The combos just crack me up.

    • thanks Ksta – yes, i love the pump/pepper combo, both ways its nice. i thought the mustard/choco would look like a rotten banana but wasnt bad! I have 2 more sets of 20 to post, just takes a bit to link all those photos…

    thanks

    • Hi Guyla,

The prices for the kits can be found at Caromal Colours online store here http://www.caromalcolours.com/viewproduct.php?cid=69 There are two kit choices – Barnworn Kit, which includes 2 quarts of basecoat, 1 toner, 1 chipping creme, brush, gloves, sandpaper for $94.50 or Distress for Success Kit, which includes 1 quart of basecoat, 1 toner, brush gloves and sandpaper for $47.50. The Distress Kit will give you a single color finish, whereas the Barnworn Kit is used to obtain the multi color/layer/distress/chipping finish look. Of course, you can always order everything ala carte as well. Be sure to use my coupon code upon checkout, in the coupon/promo area PattyH – it will save you a couple bucks off shipping.

  5. I would like to know how much distressing samples (1-20) would cost, including tax and shipping charges? Thanks so much! Anne (<:

  6. I cut and pasted the rates brelow, Anne, the distresssing samples 1-20 are considered ‘Barnworn Distress Samples’

    RATES

Simple Distress Samples $3.00 for 1 $2.00 ea for 3 or more

Barnworn Distress Samples $4.00 for 1 $3.00 ea for 3 or more

All samples, ordered in quantities 4 or less, will be mailed out using USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes at a rate of $4.80 Domestic and $10.40 Canada/Mexico.

The Small $4.80 flat rate boxes only hold a maximum of 4 samples. Orders larger will ship out in a USPS Priority Mail Bag, which will hold a good 16 samples. I just bagged up 12 and it only weighed 1.6 lbs. Mail bags are NOT fixed rate, so shipping will vary dependent on weight (how many you order) and your zip code destination)

I take paypal, send payment to pattyhenning@wowway.com or pay by check, package shipped once cleared.

Email me with your order choices to pattyhenning@wowway.com

  7. I would like to order 1-20 barnworn distressed samples. I can’t find how to order this on the website. Can you help me? Anne (<:
