Duplicating Lovely Distressed Furniture Finishes…

Anytime I look through magazines and see things painted my mind starts turning

I could get to that look by…

Do you do that?    I recently visited one of my favorite online sources, Wisteria,

and saw nothing but Caromal Colour looking finishes.

Take a look

You could get to this with textured basecoat Wisteria and Colonial  Blue

This one,  textured basecoat Peppercorn and Paprika

Textured basecoat Bayberry over a wood table,  or Bayberry and Chocolate

This could be textured basecoat Chocolate, then Paprika

(aren’t you loving all this distressing?)

This distressed coffee table reminds me of textured basecoat Peppercorn

and this bench finish could be duplicated using texture basecoat color Wisteria

If I had to duplicate this pretty cabinet I’d get textured basecoat Bayberry and Wisteria

I’d mix some Wisteria into some Bayberry to make a lighter version of green,  then I’d mix Wisteria with BARELY any Bayberry to get a dirtied offwhite color, then I’d use the Wisteria fo r the rest.  I’d sand the crap out of it, then I’d do a wash with the Coffee Glaze mixed with some water –

Easy,  textured basecoat Parchment
