One of my favorite kinds of emails are those that have before and after project pictures attached… even nicer is when I can go and see a transformation with my own eyes!
Last week I stopped in at Sherry’s house to offer her advice on top coating her master bedroom armoire that she took from cherry to Peppercorn black using the Caromal Textured Basecoat. She had her artist friend add some hand painted flowers in the door panels – the piece is going to be beautiful when its done. I also eyed her nightstand (part cherry part raw wood) that she refinished using the Caromal Colours Parchment Textured Basecoat and Toner – all I can say is WOW… I took no photos – she is a blogger herself and plans on documenting the whole process from start to finish – I’ll let you know when she posts.
From there I headed to Pam’s to drop off more paint – she is in the process of refinishing pieces for their family cottage up north. She wants a Nantucket feel
I got to see some of her work in progress, and she let me take photos 🙂
This is part of an old hutch – they are going to incorporate this top portion into a new bar back that her husband is building –
Cool painted hardware and wire – the paints lovingly bond to it all – then a cool sand back to reveal part of the metal-
Pam used Colonial Blue first
then Chipping Creme
then Wisteria over top-
She used the Colonial Blue, solo, on this table and chairs
When they have it all put in place, I’ll see if I can’t get her to send me a few photos!
