Vicki Reclaims Her Kitchen Cabinets With Caromal Colours…

What started, March 29th, as

…I am wanting to get some of the Caromal Colours to do my bathroom and kitchen cabinets and I am wondering if it can be used in the counter-top as well…       This stuff looks awesome!!

Vicki and I corresponded back and forth through her whole project –

…Well I have almost gotten the base coat on my bathroom cabinets and then I will be toning later today….I think I am putting it on too lightly because I have put three coats on using a little water and I can still see through in some spots.   It is fun to use though…

(yes adding water to thin the TB will allow it to glide on smoother and thinner, but will result in your project taking longer – you don’t use ‘more’ paint, you just paint thinner layers.  Using the Wisteria (white) or Parchment (cream) over stained woods will take a good 3 layers if you choose this smoother method of application,  the rest of the colors will cover in 2)

Vicki had finished the bathroom using Parchment Textured Basecoat and Toner, and had Toner left over.   Her next project, was using Caromal Reclaim Off-White on her kitchen cabinets and the Reclaim Antiqueing Glaze.  Because she wanted her glaze richer, she asked about mixing some Toner into the Glaze.  (yes, you can)

..I was thinking about getting the 32 oz. glaze and mixing it with an 8oz. of toner to put on my kitchen cabinets. You had said the glaze doesnt grip as much and I was thinking a little toner would help maybe grip a little bit more? Do you think 40 oz. of the glaze mix would cover around 30 cabinets?

Well the Reclaim paint for my kitchen cabinets should be here today or tomorrow.  WISH ME LUCK!! Today I need to take the hinges off and clean the cabinets. I am excited, but nervous…   Thank you for all you support and help!

Well my cabinets are still all over my floor letting the paint set.  I finished painting them on Friday so I am thinking about doing the glaze on Wednesday, that gives them 4 days to set. I am nervous about the glaze for some reason.  I really want to do the counter-tops…    I want to paint everything in my house with this stuff   🙂

I have a problem….are you suppose to let the Reclaim glaze set for any matter of time before you put a poly seal over them??? I just started doing the poly and it is wanting to pull the glaze off???

(to which I posted titled : Waiting to Glaze or Topcoat with Reclaim)

And then this!

I love it!   We are looking into new flooring now. 🙂 Yes for my kitchen look I got about 28 cabinets and the surrounding area out of a gallon of Off White Reclaim. Then I mixed a 32 oz. of glaze with 10 oz. of toner and used it for the glazing.  Love it!  My step father-in-law said it looks like the professional cabinets he sees. I am telling everyone about his product. YEAH! Thanks again for all your help and support, I really appreciate it.

Are you ready to order RECLAIM?

Did you see Reclaim, by Caromal Colours,  on HSN?  Are you like me where you SEE something that grabs your attention,  but you want to know more before you invest?  So you hop online and surf the nets, searching for information – IS it really as easy as it says?   Is it durable?  Is it going to scratch off?   What does it look like close up?  Are the colors accurate?

Well, you found the right place – I have loads of information here, so stick around awhile and peruse all my Caromal posts. Here you’ll find  concise photos,  how to’s and tips on application.

I’ve been in the professional decorative finishing business for over eight years.   2 1/2 years ago I signed on to become a Rep for Caromal – we don’t get paid a salary – we are all Independent Reps, and our job is to offer you the information you need to feel more confident , more comfortable in tackling your own projects –  then you will want to get your hands on  the products and create your OWN fabulous creations.

So how are we compensated for our time and efforts?   By your ordering and using our Rep codes –  mine is PattyH  (or PattyH 5 for orders over 75)  this code not only identifies your connection to me, but also saves you 2-5 bucks off shipping.

I put alot of time and effort into my site.  (ask my husband :) )  If you find my posts helpful and beneficial, then please consider helping me in return by ordering through me vs. HSN. (its all same pricing)   If you order through HSN we Rep’s get zero credit for the sale  – and this is the only way we earn anything.

When online ordering, using coupon code PattyH in the coupon code area saves you money off shipping, and you pay no tax (outside PA). ( This code is needed in order for me to receive credit as well –   if you forget to use it I lose, so please use it!)
