Repainting Furniture We Already Painted.. Black And Animal Hide

I’m sure I shared this server table that I originally finished blue and white

This was one of my favorites – I carved the finish around the color of the blue flower ceramic knob I’d found at Hobby Lobby .  The base color was a Caromal Colours Textured Basecoat I custom tinted, that was much like Huckleberry Blue  (Huck Blue wasn’t out last fall when I painted this).

First layer custom blue TB, then Chipping Creme, then Textured Basecoat Wisteria.    I sanded it real good to give it a weathered look, and topcoated with the Minwax Wipe-on Poly.

I loved how it turned out… reminded me of faded blue jeans…

As pretty as it was, it wasn’t a combo high on the request list, so I decided to repaint it.    That’s the great thing about all these wonderful easy DIY paints – you can change things up easily…

I decided to texture the top and bottom shelf –

here’s the final results

Took the top aged metallic champagne,  and the base Textured Basecoat Peppercorn over Parchment, Toned…

and a few Swarovski crystals at each corner

I added a little extra texture on the drawer… who would know it was once blue and white?

The blue knob removed, and a pretty crystal one in its place…

Sold.    The buyer requested a little silver mixed into the top, which was easy enough to accomodate –  waiting for pick up

And the knob?  Too pretty to put back in the storage drawer…

I redid this shelf using CeCe Caldwell Maine Harbor Blue,  then some glue, then CeCe Simply White, and CeCe Clear Wax to seal.    Delicious!

All the products used are available both in store and in online store.
