Henry’s Mirror Frame Gets A Paint Finish…

Once again I failed to snap a before photo.  If you click on the mirror photo below you will see some bronze in the frame.  That was the before.

Henry and his wife brought the mirror in for me to refinish.  They liked these frames I’d painted so I went for something similar

I started with Caromal Textured Basecoat Peppercorn

then some Putty

and some Putty mixed with Parchment…  dry brushing using my favorite chip brushes

After a quick sand I brush on the Toner

and wipe it off.   Now you might be thinking

Why didn’t she tape that glass off?

I prefer to flow over the edge – too many times I’ve taped a mirror only to pull the tape and have a hidden edge revealed that reflects in the glass.  I find when I do it this messy way, I overcome that

The clean up is easy

This paint swatch is the color of their walls.  I think they will be pleased

They were!
