We wrapped up our 2012 classes this past week. Thursday evening we saw these projects
Before, goal is to get rid of the country feel…
After – I think she accomplished her goal!
Before, instead of a piece of furniture, how about starting the first few doors of your cabinet project?
A great start to a fabulous cabinet update, old honey oak to this!
What a fabulous group, we really had a great time…
Then, Saturday afternoon I held a private workshop for a group celebrating their friend’s birthday –
Let the fun begin 🙂
This table is going CeCe Caldwell Destin Gulf Green and Seattle Mist, with some Vermont Slate stenciling on top…
this heirloom chair is going to have CeCe Vintage White over Caromal Textured Basecoat Huckleberry Blue, with a stenciling in a special verdigris glaze to highlight a ‘bird’ add…
and birthday girl wished for layers and color. She chose CeCe Santa Fe Turquoise for the top, CeCe SpringHill Green for the bottom, and the first layer over the WHOLE piece is CeCe New Orleans Purple
Birthday Girl wiping back her Springhill Green to pop that New Orleans Purple
and the little chair is being sanded and wet wiped to reveal the blue under the white…
There’s the bird add – so adorable, a knob that fit right into a crack! On the seat you can see the subtle verdigris stenciling
the birthday table was complete with a Vermont Slate and silver stencil
What a great afternoon, thank you for spending it with us!
I have had numerous requests to get my online Workshop page better formatted so you can see what dates are scheduled and what is still available – I will be working on that and you should see changes for our new 2013 workshop offerings.
In the mean time, our FIRST scheduled workshop for 2013 will be Wednesday January 16th at 5:30pm. There are 4 spots still available. (There is also a workshop scheduled in February but I have to confirm the date)
We typically do NOT schedule the Bring A Chair Workshop dates – we leave that up to you to do. If you have a group of 3 or more friends that are interested you can call us and pick your date. We then open that workshop up to others until it fills to eight. We only schedule one workshop per week, and starting in February we will be able to accommodate groups up to 12.
I strongly recommend you attend one of our workshops for many reasons –
- if life finds you in need of some YOU time
- if you need an evening out with your friends
- if you need a fun night out with your spouse
- if you want our hands on help with your project
- if you want to add some she-she-ness to your project – we have drawers of stencils, metallics, glazes – all kids of toppings, that are included in your price!
- if you want to gain confidence with a paint technique before tackling a larger project
- if you need a place to host a party event – how fun is that?
If you’d like more information, check out our workshop page .
Hope to see you in 2013!
