You Know It’s Sunday, Gods Paint Brush…

Excerpt from a lovely post, The God-Colors

The human eye can only respond to color when a light source is present.

No light = colorless world.

No Light = colorless life.

Light of the World,

You stepped down into darkness,

and You opened the eyes of the color-blind.

You color life into souls, onto hearts.

You paint love in shades of goldenrod and green, coral and crimson, amethyst and amber.

We are not a gray, colorless people. Because You — chief resident of our hearts — are not a gray and colorless God.

All the world’s a crayon box, a string of Christmas lights, a bowl of berries, a painter’s palette.

And we – the works of art – are the designer pieces. We bear the image of the Artist, and we bring His color to the ends of the Earth.

Go ahead, show off your colors. They are God’s gift to you, and your gift to a planet in need.
