Workshop Creations, What’s Everyone Doing?

Fabulous Finishes  Bring Your Own Item Workshops are held weekly at our paint studio.   They offer 4 hours of studio time to play with paints and techniques, and go home with something to show for it.

Sharing from the past few weeks…

This side table was too large for our workshop and we discussed only doing the base.    The attendee wanted a ‘black table’ –  she didn’t care about learning a technique, or playing with paints – she just wanted BLACK.   so I suggested the Reclaim black (licorice) paint.  the Reclaim is a roll on paint that bonds and seals all in one – its not typically used in the workshops because its a finish that could be done at home with NO instruction.     If she used the Reclaim licorice, she’d be able to get the whole table done-  it’s THAT fast and easy…

She was happy to choose the ‘easy’ roll on paint    (and a few new knobs!)

and even had time to stencil in silver!

and Doreen sent the ‘after’, that she completed at home –  SWEET!!!

This was OLD looking wood before…   piece was too big to complete in workshop, so they chose to finish front and both sides –  very cool, it’s going to be used as a bar cabinet

This next workshop I failed to get ANY befores – arrgh –

This yummy table is another metallic finish over Caromal Textured Basecoat Peppercorn, the new knobs are the finishing touch

I’ll never forget the first time I created this finish – I LOVED it,  and still appreciate it every time it’s used…

  1. Thank you so much for sharing all the projects. My husband and I visited your shop early on but it’s too far for us to travel for classes. I love to see what everyone is painting and it gives me lots of ideas. We’ve been taking a break from painting furniture but I may surprise you with placing an order soon. Thank you again.
