How Cool Is This Painted Armoire – His & His…

One of my local customers came in to get paint for her second paint project –

1

An armoire previously painted,   she wanted to gift the piece to her son, but white wasn’t gonna cut it…..

She chose  CeCe Caldwell’s Chalk and Clay paint Vermont Slate (slate blue/black) over Spring Hill Green (limey green).

Here’s the first layer – Spring Hill Green-

over that went the Vermont Slate –

When it was dry, she sanded and wet wiped to smooth out and refine to her liking, then stenciled using CeCe Vintage White

She sealed it using a dark tinted wax, which added a nice element of age

I just love her use of stencils – she had me special order these   (got them from Maison de Stencil)…  how original  is this?                                                                                     4

Oh did  I mention she took a workshop too?
