Newest Shelby DIY TV Episode and Updated Website

Katie finished the editing for our most recent Shelby DIY Episode (8) – the one I mentioned in the last post, with Cottage Paint

The taping of this episode was not our usual – we were minus the zoom camera (camera man didn’t arrive)  –  Katie did a great job handling everything that morning, including the camera!    I apologize now for wasting a minute or three trying to find the next darn stencil lead….    aaack!  Sorry everyone 🙂

Now regarding the website transition….

drum roll…..

chirp    chirp…..

I’ve been promising over three months now that we’d have our updated shopping site running –

I’ve held off because it needs so much work.  I am embarassed.   I could cry.    It’s got the ability to be a Ferrari and right now it’s a stinkin Pinto.

I am told you CAN order from the site – but our originally shopping cart is still function as well – .

Both should work..  Once the bugs are worked out in this test mode, you will no longer have an option – what was the shop will just direct you to the store – you wont even know it happened…

The new store link DOES have all the Aged Papers  inputted, the Cottage Paints are all linked, and I am in the process of adding the new glazes.   Additionally, everything on our old shopping cart IS on the new site, but like I said, it needs some polishing…

This was my day today – see that input screen in the background?  Guess what I did all day today?   Trying to keep a smile on my face….

I love this look Patty!  Just a quick question… if this had been varnished or laquered would it be best to sand that old varnish off or use a quick base coat of CC first or will this paint stick like CC does? Love your video. I have saved the others cuz I have been working and not taken time to watch but decided to treat myself tonight with this one…love love love!  There are only 3 things that can make your dreams come true: your thoughts, your words, and your actions.

    • Hi Kat – the varnish/laquer doesnt make a difference – the textured basecoat bonds to it – sometimes, i’ve found , you might get a little slip from your roller, over slick surfaces – but I just ‘roll’ with it (lol) – the second coat fills it right in, because it’s got something to bite to… some folks get the eebbies if they dont sand prior – to each his own – but iMO, if i’m fine w/out, then why bother… :0
