Blend Colors of Grey Gray – Reclaim and Cottage Paint

I have been working on uploading photos to our store items online,  and wanted to share them here as well.   Seeing colors stacked next to each other is helpful when deciding color.

These pictures portray various shades of GREY that we offer,  4 boards using Reclaim Paint and 2 boards  Cottage Paint

It’s obvious,Licorice  a stocked Reclaim color, is BLACK not GREY.  I included it as a reference for the other boards.  Pewter is a stocked Reclaim color as well

Shadow and Lead are two of our Cottage Paint colors that we custom tint –

and these last couple boards we call ‘Reclaim Blends‘  – colors we’ve concocted by blending together several or more Reclaim colors, using noted ratios –

A Simple Glaze Over Pickle…

Patty – attached find a couple of pictures of my cabinets that I redid (cabinets were previously “pickled” white) by sanding and using the Reclaim Antiquing Glaze–

Love my new look,

Im sure I’ll get inquires now on how durable this might be, and if you can use the glazes over any existing surface,   and I’d answer like this –

Test it first – on a place you wont see.  See what results you’ll get.  I’ll tell you this – it wont make a hill of beans difference over any surface that isnt white or off-white in color.   So if you’ve got honey oak?  I wouldn’t waste the money or  time.

The easiest is to brush it on, then wipe it off with a dry rag. Have a dry brush or two handy to feather out any heavy areas along the crevices.  Barely any will remain on your flat surfaces – it’s that subtle – but it will hang out in the nooks and crannies.

Glazes are typically pretty durable when cured, so once its dry it wont easily wipe off  (the Toner is a different story and would need to be topcoated).

Always,  always and another always,  start with a clean dry wax free surface.  You’re asking for trouble if you start with anything less.

A quart should do you’re whole kitchen.
